I started my fitness journey almost 11 years ago after the
birth of my second daughter. I began as a runner,
completing a marathon and several half marathons, but soon
realized I wanted more from my workouts.
I started exploring weight lifting and worked with a personal trainer who specialized in bodybuilding. As my muscles grew in size and strength, I developed a deep love for weight training. In recent years, I have focused on powerlifting, particularly the squat, bench press, and deadlift (my personal favorite).
However, I recently decided to take a more holistic approach to fitness. My current routine includes dynamic stretching, compound and isolated muscle exercises, intervals, steady state cardio, static stretching, and mobility exercises. I no longer exercise solely for a certain appearance or size, but to improve my overall quality of life.
For me, exercise is about feeling capable, powerful, and strong, and it plays a crucial role in supporting my mental health. It has always been a constant in my life, and I am grateful for how it has shaped me today. I am excited for the opportunity to help other women flourish on their own fitness journeys.
